Meet Brita Snider

It’s not often that I’m caught by the camera…

… but here I am, capturing the best moments, in the background of your wedding! :)

My journey began...

…in 2012, after I had my first child. I wanted to capture EVERY wonderful moment of his waking life. So, determined to create beautiful memories of my boys, I purchased a proper camera with a zoom lens. I had no idea what I was doing, but YouTube soon became my best friend.

I am a self taught photo and video artist and have been professionally working in the wedding and event industry for over 5 years.

I’m not only here to document one of the best days of your life, but to be your best friend. I always strive to capture the true essence of who you are and hope that looking back on your photos, will cause laughter and tears of happiness! :)

(PS I’m also a big nerd and love playing The Legend of Zelda.)

What inspires me?

My clients inspire me. Seriously! They approach me with so many cool ideas, I love it. The enthusiasm and passion for their upcoming marriage is what keeps me creatively inspired. Their excitement makes me excited!

And once the wedding day is over and I’m home editing in my dark, little office, I kind of fall in love with my clients. It’s like I get to really know them through the images I’ve captured. It’s such a unique relationship and I treasure each and everyone I’ve had the honour to work for.

My dream photo & video shoot...

…would be to travel to a remote lake and/or waterfall location and capture a couple in and under water. There’s something so magical about water!

Because I’m an ice dancer and figure skater, I’ve also had this crazy dream of photographing and videoing a skater couple on ice. Maybe in the mountains?

If you think you’re this special couple, just reach out. Let’s see what we can create together!!

What do I say to individuals that want to learn photography and videography?

Do it! Even if you fail to make money, you’ll learn a new skill set to capture your life moments in a beautiful way and also gain an appreciation of the art.

Do I have social media?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: I deleted all the major social media platforms back in 2020 to try to improve my mental health and it worked. I don’t plan on going back. I just have way more time to do the things I love, with the people that matter most to me. :)

I do have a Youtube account and an abandoned Vero account. But that is all.
